As per the news dated July 19 2011 PMI has indicated that they will hold the result for 4 to 6 weeks, if you take the exam in the period from  Aug 31, 2011 to mid October 2011.
Once you finish the exam, there will be a conformation that the exam has been completed. Thats all!
Only after 4-6 weeks you will come to know if you have passed or not.

The students would be notified via their registered e-mail id, once their results are available.
Why are they doing this?
Since there is a change to the examination pattern, they would like to analyze for 4-6 weeks, how examinees answer and how difficult or easy they find the exam. They need this time to validate their new exam structure amongst others

Now that initial cooling period is over, PMI has commenced displaying results as soon as the exam is over.

Yes Guru. Your observation is right. The immediate delivery results have started as before.

In fact when they held back the results earlier on and then started publishing it , lot of errors have been reported like a lot of people who had been notified as failed were re-notified as passed a couple of days later.

All is well that ends well!
